Universal Brotherhood Day celebrated

JAMMU, Sept 11-. To celebrate the Universal Brotherhood Day, the Jammu Branch of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari organized a State level program amongst young minds to inculcate the message and feeling of universal brotherhood. The first step of the program was essay writing to enhance creative writing skills in which 144 students from schools of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh participated.
Naveen Kachru, Program coordinator said , “It is imperative to spread this acceptance message among families and individuals for which the volunteers of Kendra are determined and working incessantly.” Today, a webinar (Zoom) was organized on National YouTube channel of Vivekananda Kendra. Shailendra Kumar Mishra , SSP Kathua was the guest speaker in the Webinar. He stated that, “Swami Vivekananda’s messages are more relevant today and youth must take inspiration to fulfill his dream of man-making . He called upon youth to spread and adopt Swami Ji’s message of universal brotherhood which is much more need during this COVID-19 pandemic.”
Winners of the essay competition were declared in the Webinar comprising of two age groups. In Group 1 (14-18 years) first Prize Srishti Wali, Career Point, Jammu and Janvi DBN, Amarvilla, Jammu, second prize Khairun Nissa JNV, Kargil, Consolation Prizes are for Ina Dhar Kendra Vidyalaya, Bantalab, Kirti Pathania DPS Kathua, Ridhima Dutta, Crescent Public School, Dishti Mahajan Dhruv Institute, Jammu, Anshita Kumari Crescent Public School, Akhilesh Kr. Bhat, Kendriya Vidyalaya No.2, Jammu, Aditya Koul Vishwa Bharti Public School, Nipun Anand Dhruv Institute, Jammu, Tanishpreet Kour BSF, Paloura, Vanshika Presentation Convent School, Mrinali Tikoo CAT School, Anantnag, Radhika Jamwal Presentation Convent School, Khushi Pandita SL Memorial, Jammu, Asmi Anand GD Goenka Jammu, Jiya Goja Kendra Vidyalaya, Bantalab.
Group 2 (19-26 years) 1st Prairna Chaudhary Devi Lal University, 2nd Toiba Kazmi Apollo Med Skills Ltd. Consolation Aagosh Bhat Government Medical College, Jammu.
Anurag Sharma, Program convener said that, “To inculcate good leadership qualities among youth of UT of Jammu and Kashmir , we will organize a personality development camp later once the pandemic normalises.
