Srinagar, Sept 12: Body of a woman from Leh was recovered on the other side of the LoC in Karnah sector by the Pakistani officials who have started the process of handing over the same to the Indian side.
The woman has been identified as Khair-un-Nissa daughter of Mohammad Ibrahim of Turtuk Leh.
The officials said that she had drowned near her residence on August 26 last month, the officials said.
Her body was identified through pictures shared by the Pakistani officials to concerned quarters.
The body was fished out on the other side of the LoC and the pictures were circulated. The pictures were later circulated and it was identified that body is of a woman from Leh.
