KPs victim of Pan Fundamentalism: Chatta

JAMMU, Apr 23: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) chief, HL Chatta today said that since 1989-90 a large number of Kashmiri Pandits were killed in the Valley by the hardcore militants which had forced the community to leave it for their safety, adding that Kashmir history is witness to the fact that Kashmir was build by Kashyap Reshi and there was a big population of Hindus, which was decreased by Pan Fundamentalist forces by their sudden attacks on them time and again.
Chatta said this while chairing a ASKPC meeting held for discussing problems being faced by the displaced community in exile.
Blaming the Government for rehabilitating surrendered militants, the ASKPC chief said that they are hell-bent upon to shatter the process of rehabilitating Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
Giving example of sitting MLA Javed Ahmed Dar having direct links with Militants, Chatta said that it is he who bats for rehabilitating militants in the Valley and dictating for inclusion of Muslims in the Shrine Bill.
RK Raina, senior vice president ASKPC, SK Bhat, spokesperson, BL Handoo and Veena Gurtoo also spoke on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the meeting also stressed upon including KP displaced youth in the voter lists and issuance of voter identity cards to the voters.
Others who spoke on the occasion were Ravi Raina, Subhash Chatta, Ashok Dhar, Shadi Lal Mujoo and Sanjay Kakroo.
