UDHAMPUR, Sept 18: In a bizarre incident of apparently suicide, an elderly man was found hanging from ceiling fan hook at his residence in Chenani while a youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his house in Shiv Nagar Udhampur.
According to the police report, Roop Lal (66), son of Gori Lal, resident of Sargundi in Chenani, was found hanging from ceiling fan hook at his house under mysterious circumstances.
Family members called the Police, which shifted the dead body to CHC Chenani for the postmortem. Chenani Police has registered the case and further investigation is ongoing on.
Meanwhile, in another case, a youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his house in Shiv Nagar Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Mannal Tandan (23), son of Mukash Tandan, resident of Jail Road Shiv Nagar Udhampur. Family members saw the youth lying unconscious and immediately shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The police after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, handed over the body to family members.
