UDHAMPUR, Sept 18: Police today foiled an attempt of bovine smuggling and rescued 11 numbers of cattle besides arresting the smuggler at Majalta.
The bovine animals were being smuggled in truck, bearing registration number JK03A-7015, which was intercepted by Police at Battal Chocki, under the direct supervision of SHO Majalta, Inspector Vishal Sharma. During checking, 11 bovine animals were found loaded in the truck. Police rescued the bovine animals and arrested driver of the truck.
In this connection, a case under section 188/RPC, 3 PCA has been registered at Police Station Majalta and further investigation of the case is going on.
