JAMMU, Sept 20: A jeweller was found hanging today morning in Panjtirthi area of Jammu City.
“Sanjay Sawhney (42) son of Kartar Sawhney was found hanging from the hook of the ceiling fan (with the help of a scarf) at his residence located at Afghana Mohalla (Panjtirthi),” a police official said.
Quoting family members of the deceased, the official said that the jeweller was in depression for past quite some time. He said that the body was shifted to GMC Jammu for postmortem while inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC was initiated in this connection by Panjtirthi police.
