JAMMU, May 23: Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Sagar today reviewed the functioning of the Law Department and performance in the conduct of State Litigation.
Advocate General M. I. Qadri, Law Secretary G. H. Tantray, Director Litigation A. K. Ambarder, Additional Advocate Generals, Deputy Advocate Generals, besides Law Officers, Public Prosecutors and Additional Public Prosecutors of Jammu division were present in the meeting.
The Minister sought the details about the status of court cases pertaining to various departments and instructed the Law Department functionaries to put in extra efforts to ensure that the cases involving the government are fought with full preparation. He said that each officer should ensure that the stand of the Government is presented strongly and professionally, particularly where the larger public interest is involved.
