Three drug peddlers arrested with narcotics

JAMMU, Sept 25: Police arrested three drug peddlers along with narcotics.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Police Station Udhampur led by SHO Inspector Vijay Singh Choudhary laid a naka at Dhar Road near District Hospital Udhampur and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 15 grams heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Rahildeep alias Rahil, son of Gopal Krishan of Ward Number 5, Barrian, District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 505/2020 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Udhampur and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Batote Police Station laid a naka and apprehended a man along with 1.680 kilograms poppy straw and 95 grams cannabis.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf, son of Siraj Din of Dhalwas, Chanderkote, District Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 61/2020 under section 8/15/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Batote Police Station and investigation initiated.
Police team led by SHO Batote Inspector Ranjit Rao made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Rajinder Singh Chib, Additional SP Ramban Sanjay Parihar and SSP Ramban Haseeb Ur Rehman.
In another incident, a team from Rajouri Police Station led by SHO Inspector Sameer Jillani under the supervision of SSP Rajouri Chandan Kohli during checking at Aitti near Darhali bridge arrested a pedestrian along with 924 grams of cannabis.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohammad Alyas Mir, son of Mohammad Amin Mir, a resident of Palangarh village of Thanamandi, District Rajouri.
A case under FIR Number 503/2020 under relevant sections has been registered at Rajouri Police Station and investigation started.
