JAMMU, Sept 25: Activists of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena under the leadership of their president, Ashok Gupta staged a protest demonstration against the Principal of Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu, Nasib Chand Digra for poor administration which resulted in loss of precious lives.
Addressing the protesters, Gupta said that Dr Deepak Kumar (Super Specialty) was appointed as a Deputy Superintendent at GMC during the start of lockdown and in addition to this duty he was also given many additional charges including that of Gandhi Nagar Hospital, Oxygen Plant at GMC etc because of his competence but all this overburdened him.
The Shiv Sena leader also said while Deepak was holding many charges only two were with the GMC Principal and one with the Director Health.
He also said that by suspending Dr. Deepak the GMC Principal has questioned the decision of the government which allotted vital charges to him.
He also demanded removal of GMC Principal as health services in Jammu are in miserable state.
Gupta also said that most worrisome part is the fact that COVID recovery rate of Jammu is 56.34 per cent which is very less than the national figure of 79 per cent.
