11 injured as overloaded vehicle rolls down

KISHTWAR, Sept 26: Eleven persons were injured when the overloaded cruiser vehicle they were traveling in rolled down into deep gorge in Dadpeth area.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-3021 was on its way from Kishtwar to Kuchan, when the driver lost control over the overloaded vehicle and it rolled down into gorge in Dadpeth area, resulting into injuries to 11 persons.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals.
All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar, from where two critically injured persons were shifted to a hospital in Srinagar for specialized treatment.
The injured were identified as Tanzeel, son of Mohammad Amin of Dadpeth, Naseema Begum, wife of Ghulam Qadir of Dadpeth, Jameela Begum of Chingan, Sajid, son of Riyaz Ahmed of Kuchan, Masood Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid of Dadpeth. Ezara, daughter of Mohammad Irazin of Kushan, Iareena Begum, wife of Riyaz Ahmed of Kuchan, Mohammad Abass, son of Kush Mohammad of Meendhar, Imtiyaz Ahmed, son of Aamir Shah of Kurfa and Rahi Jan, daughter of Riyaz Ahmed of Kuchan. The identity of a child is not ascertained when last reports were compiled.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Chatroo Police Station and investigation started.
