JAMMU, Sept 27: Maintaining that Jammu and Kashmir is integral part of India Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP and KP leader and incharge, Department of Political Affairs and Feedback, J&K-BJP, Ashwani Kumar said that Pakistan has forcefully occupied some parts of J&K which it should vacate.
Reacting to raising of Kashmir issue by Pakistan Prime Minister, in UN General Assembly recently, Chrungoo said Pakistan which has been exposed for nurturing terrorists on its soil throughout the world should keep tis hands off from Kashmir.
He said India’s reply at UN General Assembly is the befitting response to the Pakistan’s rant and deserves appreciation for making it clear that matters relating to Jammu and Kashmir are issues internal to India.
India’s strong-worded response to Pakistan came after India exercised its ‘Right of Reply’ once all the country speeches in the high-level debate of UNGA’s 75th Session were concluded on Friday. Mijito Vinito, the first Secretary at India’s UN Mission to the United Nations, addressed the United Nations General Assembly at UN Headquarters.
“Vinito, who had walked out of the hall during Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s pre-recorded address at UNGA where Khan raised the Kashmir issue, later said firmly that the address by Imran Khan was full of lies, misinformation and warmongering”, said Chrungoo in his statement on the issue today at Jammu.
Chrungoo also said, “the recent controversial statements issued by a number of Kashmir centric leaders speak of their desperation, double-talk and frustration. The 5th August 2019 developments have deeply impacted the psyche of these leaders who have strangely started asking for their ‘subjugation by China’. Public abuse and unparliamentary language in public discourse have also got added to their political syllabus now, though unfortunately”.
“There is no question of going back even in the wildest dreams so far as the Constitutional and political changes in Jammu and Kashmir are concerned. These changes reflect strategic, national, political, human rights and humanitarian needs and requirements of the people in the Jammu and Kashmir UT and one needs to readjust to the new realities which are to stay for good”, Chrungoo further said.
