Srinagar, Sept 28: Four persons died of COVID-19 in Kashmir today taking the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 1148 and Valley reported 284 cases of Coronavirus taking the overall tally of J&K to 73014.
Those who died in Kashmir include two from Pulwama and one each from Bandipora and Shopian respectively.
Among others those who died in Kashmir valley included a 60-year-old man from Tral in Pulwama district who died at SKIMS Soura and was suffering from multiple ailments.
A 55-year-old man from Bongam village in Shopian district died at SKIMS hospital in Soura, eight days after he was admitted and diagnosed with COVID pneumonia with respiratory failure. He died due to cardiopulmonary arrest.
With these deaths, 1148 people have died due to COVID-19 including 827 from Kashmir valley.
Kashmir reported 284 fresh cases of COVID-19 today taking the overall tally of Jammu and Kashmir COVID-19 cases to 73014.
They include 105 cases from Srinagar, Budgam 27, Baramulla 26, Pulwama 33, Anantnag 18, Bandipora 9, Kupwara 44, Ganderbal 13, Kulgam 1 and Shopian 8.
Out of 73014 positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir, 17601 are active, 54267 have recovered and 1146 have died including 826 in Kashmir division.
So far 1581606 samples were processed in J&K, 1508592 tested negative and 73014 positive.
Srinagar has 14490 positive cases with 2105 active, 12098 recovered, 287 deaths; Baramulla has 4273 positive cases with 1235 active, 2916 recovered, 122 deaths; Pulwama reported 3885 positive cases with 451 positive cases, 3366 recovered, 68 deaths; Kulgam has 2253 positive cases with 130 active, 2080 recoveries, 43 deaths; Shopian has 2021 positive cases with 198 active, 1791 recovered, 32 deaths; Anantnag district has 3492 positive cases with 441 active, 2989 recovered, 62 deaths; Budgam has 4791 positive cases with 1045 active and 3665 recovered, 81 deaths; Kupwara has 3539 positive cases with 813 active, 2660 recovered, 66 deaths; Bandipora has 3363 positive cases with 563 active, 2763 recovered, 37 deaths and Ganderbal has 2844 positive cases with 459 active cases, 2357 recoveries and 28 deaths.
Moreover, 577 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals in Kashmir.
