Arms, ammunition recovered

SRINAGAR, Apr 24:  Police and Army busted a hideout in Bandipora forests and recovered arms and ammunition from a hideout while firing was reported from Sopore town this evening.
Police said that Bandipora police and 5 para of Army launched a search operation in the forests of Chan Daji in district Bandipora yesterday.
Police said that during the search a hideout was busted. “One AK 47, one pistol, three AK 47 magazine, three pistol magazine, three hand grenade,  forty seven rounds of AK 47, four pistol round and other accessories were recovered”, he added.
Police registered a case FIR 75/2013 under Section 7/25 IAA in this regard.
Police said that 5-6 AK-47 gun shots were heard near 179 battalion of CRPF in Sopore. A police party was rushed to the spot but it was not ascertained who fired these shots.
