JAMMU, Sept 29: J&K and Ladakh Road Transport Corporation Workers Union here today staged a protest demonstration demanding release of four months salaries of employees of the Corporation.
Addressing the protesters Union Chief Spokesman (Jammu Province), Mahmood Riaz said the Corporation employees are supporting government as frontline warriors to mitigate challenges including those in the present COVID-19 pandemic but the cold response by the Corporation and UT government has resulted in pendency of four month salaries to the employees.
He also said that a delegation of their Union have met the Advisor (B) on September 21, 2020 in this regard who assured that the issues of Corporation employees will be resolved within 15 days.
Addressing protesters S. Paramjeet Singh, Union’s Provincial President Jammu raised the issue of regularization of consolidated employees who have completed eight years of service satisfactorily.
He also demanded implementation of 7th pay commission, implementation of SRO-43 in light of Board of Directors Decision, concrete steps to ensure recovery of money of RTC pending with intending agencies, DPC of all cadres and deposition of unremitted CPF of employees.
More demands included release of long pending trip money of crew, adjustment Fuel Challans issued during the election and other duties and release of post retrial benefits in favour of retired employees.
The protesters said if their demands are not fulfilled soon then there will be more protests.
