REASI, Oct 2: Police arrested a thief and recovered stolen motor pump from his possession.
As per police sources, on September 30 this year, a complaint was lodged by Rajan Sharma, son of Shanker Dass of Ward Number 3 with Police Station regarding theft of motor pump from his new construction site of house at Ward Number 2.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 117/2020 under section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Reasi and investigation.
During investigation, a team from Reasi Police Station arrested the thief, who was identified as Mohammad Saleem alias Kaka, son of Abdul Rashid of Kayala District Reasi. On his disclosure, the stolen motor pump has been recovered.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Reasi Inspector Sumit Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of Iftkhar Ahmed DySP Headquarters Reasi and Rashmi Wazir SSP Reasi.
