SRINAGAR, Oct 5: Some prominent political activists including People’s Conference district president, Srinagar today joined the Jammu Kashmir Apni Party along with their supporters.
Those who joined the Apni Party included Irfan Matoo, People’s Conference, District president Srinagar, Dr Khazana former Municipal Corporator Rawalpora and Ghulam Nabi Namthall, a prominent political activist from district Budgam.
Senior vice president Ghulam Hassan Mir, general secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir, Provincial president Mohammad Ashraf Mir, chief coordinator Abdul Majid Padder, District president Noor Mohammad, District Pulwama president Ghulam Mohammad Mir, District Kupwara president Raja Manzoor, Provincial Secretary Abdul Rashid Haroon, party leaders Syed Farooq Andrabi, Irfan Naqib and Advocate Mir Imaad welcomed the new entrants into the party fold.
All the new entrants were flanked with dozens of their associates who also joined Apni Party and pledged to carry forward policies and programmes of the Party to the grassroots level.
Speaking on this occasion, Ghulam Hassan Mir, senior vice president of the party observed that people across Jammu and Kashmir are emancipated enough to distinguish the political parties on the basis of their agenda and performance on the ground.
“With the joining of our new colleagues the party cadre will get a boost on the ground. I am sure that the new entrants would work with extra zeal to disseminate the party’s agenda and work for redressal of people’s woes in their respective areas,” Mir remarked.
