SRINAGAR, Oct 7: An elderly woman was today killed in a road accident in Brariangan area of Achabal in district Anantnag district.
Officials said that Saja Begum (68) W/o Muhammad Akram Bhat a resident of Brariangan was critically injured after a motorcyclist hit her in the village.
After being hit, she was rushed to SKIMS, Soura where the doctors declared her brought dead.
However, it was said that the motorcyclist fled from the spot after the incident.
A case has been registered under FIR number 78/2020 under relevant sections of law and further investigation was taken up to crack the case.
