REASI, Oct 9: Katra police solved a theft case of mobile phones by arresting two thieves and recovering stolen phones from their possession.
“A complaint regarding theft of mobile phones was registered on 26-09-2020 at police station Katra vide FIR Number 150/2020 U/S 457/380 IPC and accordingly, a special team headed by Inspector Sunil Sharma (SHO police station Katra) under the supervision of Kuljeet Singh (SDPO Katra), Amit Bhasin (SP Katra) and overall supervision of SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir was constituted,” a police official said.
He said the police team after making best efforts succeeded in solving the theft case by apprehending two thieves namely Kaku Ram and Munna (alias Sonu), both sons of Bittu Ram, resident of Serbad (tehsil Katra, district Reasi) and recovered three stolen mobiles phones of VIVO and Redmi brand from their possession.
The approximate value of the recovered phones is Rs 20000, the official added.
