SRINAGAR, Oct 9: A driver was killed today while two other sustained injuries in road accident in Bagna area of Uri in North Kashmir.
Reports said that a Sumo bearing Registration Number JK05 9297 met with an accident resulting in the death of the driver while two others were injured.
The deceased driver has been identified as Nazir Ahmad Mir Son of Abdul Majeed Mir Resident of Phalipora.
After the incident, the locals came in for the rescue and took all the three to a nearby hospital, where the driver was declared brought dead on arrival, while as those injured have been shifted to District Hospital Baramulla for treatment.
The police have registered a case in this regard and further investigation set in motion.
