JAMMU, Oct 11: The continued strike of daily wagers of PHE/ Jal Shakti Department has created water crisis in the Reasi town and adjoining areas due to which the residents are suffering badly.
Demanding regular and adequate supply of water, prominent citizens and residents of Reasi held a meeting here on Sunday evening at Zanana Park, Reasi. They said the local administration was well aware of the problem but failed to make alternative arrangement.
“We are suffering badly from the last two weeks and repeated complaints are of no use,’ one of the speakers said.
“We strongly support the cause of the daily wagers but it is the duty of the administration to provide water to residents during this tough time of Covid-19. We appeal to the LG to look into the matter and solve their problems so that the people get drinking water,” another speaker said.
