JAMMU, Oct 11: JK I/C School Education Officers/Lecturers (JKSEOF) today demanded Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting and confirmation orders of all In-charge Lecturers serving the Education Department since long times.
It was stated by Amar Nath Thakur during a virtual meeting of ‘District Coordination Committee’ of all the districts members the Forum.
“The purpose of meeting was to convey their resentment brewing among all In-charge Lecturers due to inordinate delaying in conducting DPC. Nearly 600 In-charge Lecturers have been expired while 3500 were retired without confirmation,” he said.
Thakur further said that in December 2018, the SAC took a decision for regularization of all In-charge Gazetted Officers/Lecturers and constituted a committee for their regularisation but after lapse of two years from the announcement, the committee failed to publish confirmation order so far.
“On direction of Chief Secretary, BVR Subrahamanyam a DPC meeting was held by School Education Department on July 15, 2019 and confirmed about 483 In-charge Lecturers but after that five DPC meeting have been postponed by the department due to unknown reason, resulting, the remaining In-charge Lecturers still awaiting for their regularisation order,” he alleged.
They urged the Principal Secretary, Asgar Samoon to consider their long pending demands before the closure of Darbar move in Srinagar otherwise they will launch massive agitation for their long pending demands.
