SRINAGAR: Top commander of Lashker-e-Toiba Saifullah has been killed along with a local militant in Barzulla area of Srinagar today.
Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that both the militants have been killed.
Earlier IGP Kashmir told reporters that “The operation is continuing. Srinagar police got information that a Pakistani militant Saiffulah along with another, a local from south Kashmir, are hiding in the area. He is same Saifullah who was involved in Nowgam attack recently in which 2 CRPF personnel were killed. He was also involved in September 24 attack in Chadoora in which an ASI of CRPF was killed,” said IGP Kashmir.
He said that militants were offered surrender as part of the SOP but they refused.
