Cong will fight discriminatory approach against J&K: Patil

SRINAGAR, Oct 12: AICC Incharge J&K affairs, Rajni Patil, Ex-MP today said that Congress will fight discriminatory approach of the BJP led Government at the centre against J&K.
Addressing meeting of senior party functionaries  at party office here today, Patil launched a scathing attack on the Modi Govt criticizing it for its failure to address the concerns of the people. She also blamed the Centre for economic crisis, rising unemployment and many other issues concerning people, besides deteriorating situation in the country and in J&K.
Patil, who arrived here today after having been assigned the important charge of the Party in Jammu and Kashmir, reviewed the organizational affairs and activities in a meeting of senior Party functionaries and urged them to gear up political activities to expose the Centre’s anti-people policies and programmes.
She expressed serious concern over the difficulties confronting people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh due to the wrong approach adopted by the Centre and said Congress party will fight against the discrimination and injustice inorder to get the people’s issues resolved. She said Congress has the legacy of serving people and it will continue to serve the people to the best of its ability.
AICC leader also slammed the BJP for its utter failure to stop atrocities and incidents of rape against women, citing the recent example of Hathras and other incidents and said such type of incident have brought bad name to the country.  She also condemned the way the top leadership of the Congress (Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi) were stopped and manhandled by the police. She said people were being punished for no fault of their, youth are deprived of 4G inter service, employment avenue and other basic facilities in J&K.
Patil said that Gandhi family has a special bond with the people of Kashmir and they feel highly concerned about your well being. “I am here to convey message from Sonia Ji, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi that they will continue to support and fight for your rights,” she elaborated.
PCC chief GA Mir said that she has a vast experience on organizational affairs. Congress workers stood like a rock against the malicious propaganda and divisive policies of the BJP and remained loyal to the party and its policies under the dynamic leadership of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi as the people have full faith in their leadership.
