JAMMU, Apr 26: A meeting of United Diploma Engineers Welfare Forum (UDEWF) was held here under the presidentship of Upinder Singh to discuss their demands.
The meeting expressed concern over the long pending demands of the engineers and condemned the callous attitude of the Government towards the cadre.
Reiterating their demands, including promotion to every diploma holder engineer after rendering 15 years of service, enhancement of fixed TA from Rs 30 to Rs 3000 per month, restoration of Grade 1 and maintenance of cadre strength at every level, all the members appealed the Government for early redressal of their demands.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Sayeed Tariq, Rajeev Abrol, Gopal Badyal, Ravinder Koul, Kuljeet Singh, Manjit Singh, Harish, Naresh Sahney, Anil Gupta , Sanjeev Mahajan and Arshad Parvez.
