VK discusses problems of displaced over aged youth

JAMMU, Oct 14: A meeting of Vision Kashmir was held today under the chairmanship of its convener, Sunil Fotedar to deliberate upon the various issues pertaining to over aged relief holders of the displaced community.
Convener of the organization, Sunil Fotedar while addressing the meeting expressed unhappiness that no scheme was floated for over aged relief holders who are the prime sufferers at present during the special camps held by Government and urged it to sympathetically consider other genuine demands of the over aged relief holders which include enhancement in cash assistance and economic package for sustenance and survival.
He however expressed satisfaction over setting up special camps to get the displaced community covered under Ayushuman Bharat and various other schemes and complimented Simrandeep Singh, Secretary Relief & Reconstruction, T K Bhat, Relief & Rehabilitation Commissioner, Rajneesh Kapoor, A D Planning Relief & Reconstruction for taking personnel interest in this regard. He said that these measures have been taken by the Government as a result of pains taking efforts VK and other KP organizations.
Secretary of the organization Ramesh Pandita (Sopori) expressed solidarity with community brethren JTC, who have been on hunger strike at Jagati township from the last 13 days with genuine demands and lambasted the Government for the apathetic approach towards displaced community.
He further expressed anguish over struggle of the young progeny of the exiled community 45 meritorious candidates who too are on hunger strike from the last 12 days at Press Club Jammu, after being left out of the selection list and extended full support to them.
Other members who attended the meeting include Vikram Razdan, Ramesh Sopori, Sanjay Chowgami, Sanjay Zutshi, Sanjay Jalali, Sunil Pandita, Ashok Koul.
