JAMMU, Oct 15: Gangyal police arrested two mobile snatchers.
As per police sources, on October 13 this year, a complaint was lodged by Babli Devi, wife of Rajinder Kumar of Gangyal with Police Station Gangyal stating that when she was going to her home from office, two boys came on motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CF-8448, snatched her phone near Badrinath Hospital Gangyal and fled away from the spot.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 117/2020 under section 382/34 IPC was registered at Police Station Gangyal and hunt was launched to nab the snatchers.
After strenuous efforts, a team from Gangyal Police Station led by SHO Inspector Raghubir Singh arrested the snatchers, who were identified as Vicky Kumar, son of Banarsi Dass of Suzadpur Miran Sahib, District Jammu and Manmeet Singh, son of Sardhol Singh of Malikpur Miran Sahib District Jammu.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain their involvement in other theft cases.
