JAMMU, Oct 15: The people of Hiranagar led by Samajik Insaf Manch president, B L Kandley held a protest demonstration against the Government and highlighted the shortage of doctors in Sub District Hiranagar.
The protestors carrying the placards in their hands were shouting slogans demanding filling up of the vacant posts in hospital. They submitted a memorandum of demands to SDM Hiranagar addressed to Lt. Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory under the leadership of B L Kandley secretary, Samajik Insaaf Manch Hiranagar.
They apprised him that the post of physician is laying vacant at S D H Hiranagar since one year. The post of Orthopedic, surgeon, general medicine, ENT, Dental, Eye , X-Ray Technician , ECG operator and para medical staff is also lying vacant.
The other important equipments are also not in order and poor people of border area face problems and they are forced to move to private hospitals. The Hiranagar border is on hot bed and any eventuality could take place in the heavy shelling going on across the border. In such circumstances, the SDH Hiranagar needed to be equipped with latest health infrastructure and the vacant posts of doctors and para medical staff be filled up.
Among others Ch. Swara Singh, vice president, Youth Congress Kathua , Suresh Sharma, president all J&K Panch Union Nasib Chand Niraj Sharma, Sham Lal Tara Chand were present .
