UDHAMPUR, Oct 17: One person was killed while two others were injured in road accidents here today.
As per reports, a scooty bearing registration number JK14E-7496 slipped along roadside near Chang Morh on Jib Thathi road, resulting into serious injuries to the rider.
The profusely bleeding rider was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Nirmal Kant Sharma (32), son of Omkar Sharma, a resident of village Magani Udhampur.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Rehambal Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a Tavera car bearing registration number JK02E-2575 collided with a tanker bearing registration number JK19-5475 near Chenani.
The injured persons were shifted to Sub District Hospital Chenani, where they were undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The injured were identified as Rishad Ahmed (24), son of Lal Mohammad, a resident of District Reasi and Adhir Mohammad (20), son of Kadir Mohammed, a resident of District Kulgam.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Chenani Police Station and investigation started.
