JWAM stages protest, demands statehood with special status

JAMMU, Oct 17: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) activists here today under the leadership of Sunil Dimple, JWAM president staged a protest demonstration demanding restoration of statehood with special status to J&K.
Addressing protesters Dimple said there is no domicile law in Ladakh and outsiders can neither purchase land nor can get government jobs there.
He also demanded assembly elections in J&K and continuance of State Subject rules and immediately stopping domicile certificates law in the Union Territory.
JWAM leader claimed that a girl from outside if married in J&K will have to wait for 15 years to get a domicile certificate and she will not get a government jobs till then under new rules.
He also flayed the government for the decision to impose Property Tax in J&K.
Vijay Virdi, Swarn Lala Biloo, Dinesh Mahajan, Deepak, Rakesh, Sham Singh, S. Kala Singh and others were also present in the protest demonstration.
