Plus 2 Officers’ Association highlights demands

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Oct 18: All J&K Plus 2 Officers’ Association, in its monthly meeting held today under the chairmanship of Dr P P Raina, highlighted its burning demands.
The members demanded that the Plus 2 Cadre Officers (from Lecturers to Jt Directors level) be placed at par with College Teachers in pay band 3 in pre revised Pay Scale and granted Assured Career Progression like them as both were placed in the same pay band of 8000-13500 before 6th Pay Commission.
They also emphasized on release of regularization lists of all cadre officers which are in the pipeline such as regularization lists of left out CEOs and equivalents and Principals HS Schools and equivalents and all Incharge Lecturers.
Regarding the transfers of Lecturers and Principals, the Association stressed upon the concerned to issue transfer orders of genuine cases including females, medical board and others, as the genuine transfers of all the teaching subject teachers have not been effected since 2013 and only 1% to 8% transfers are taking place since then and also many unadjusted Promoted Lecturers are waiting for their adjustments.
The Association appealed the Commissioner Secretary Youth services and Sports as well as Chief Secretary JK UT to remove the pay anomalies and regularise all the 200 Incharge Lecturers of PHE at an earliest and also requested to the Secretary School Education to take them over to SED to streamline and mitigate their grievances.
The Secretary School Education Department was further appealed to adjust the 1500 Senior Lecturers (waiting for promotion since 2011) on all vacant posts of ZEOs in whole J&K UT to remove stagnation in Plus 2 cadre. The Association also demanded the placement of about 3000 regularized (DPC+PSC) Lecturers (waiting since 2005) as Senior Lecturers.
The members hoped that the new Secretary School Education Department B K Singh will leave no stone unturned in mitigating the genuine demands of the Plus 2 Cadre.
