SBI donates ceiling fans to Govt schools

UDHAMPUR, Apr 27: In its commitment and Corporate Social Responsibility, SBI donated ceiling fans to various schools.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Manager B.L Saini said that education continues to be one of the focus area of the Bank’s CSR activities.
He said that in  pursuance of the  Bank’s endeavour to improve infrastructure of Government/Municipal Schools and to enhance the learning environment for the children, Bank had provided fans to over 14000 schools in June 2012 and more than 42089 water purifiers to more than 42089 schools in Financial Year 2012-13.
Interacting with the students, Mr. Saini advised students to imbibe values of truth and honesty in their dealings, adding that they will have to work hard to find their place in society and assured all possible help from Bank in their education so that no child feels deprived in  getting proper education.
Mr. Saini announced that the Branch will soon distribute Note Books and School Bags to needy students. Information about education loan and student deposit schemes was explained to the students in detail.
