JTC , SKF takes out procession

JAMMU, Oct 27: A procession was taken out from Lane No 7 to National Highway by the Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) in protest against the failure of Government to redress the problems of displaced Pandits from Valley.
At National Highway police stopped the rally and foiled the bid to block the Highway. Protestants then staged an hour – long dharna near National Highway.
Addressing the protesters, Shadi Lal Pandita, president, JTC, SKF and convener, PCC Migrant Cell J&K urged the Government to resolve the demands as soon as possible or the protestors will be forced to block the NH next time.
On National Highway a meeting was held by the representatives of protestors with Tehsildar, Nagrota, S.D.P.O, Nagrota, S.H.O, Nagrota whom the protestors handed over the memorandum of the demands. The officers assured the protestors that they will send the memorandum to concerned quarters. Later a meeting of the JTC and SKF activists was held under the leadership of Pandita and it was resolved to continue the struggle till demands are met. Meanwhile, the chain hunger strike of JTC and SKF entered 26thd ay today.
