UDHAMPUR, Oct 27: A middle- aged man committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Chenani area today.
A police spokesman said that Ved Prakash (45), son of Bhagat Ram, a resident of Gandwal in Chenani, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence today. The family members noticed him in serious condition and vomiting and rushed to Sub District Hospital, Chenani where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in serious condition.
During treatment in Jammu hospital he died. Later, the body was sent for postmortem. The police after completion of all the legal formalities, handed over the body to family members.
