KP Volunteers pay tributes to martyr Lt Amit Koul

JAMMU, Oct 27: To commemorate 23rd year of Balidaan Diwas of Martyr Lieutenant Amit Koul, 2nd Engineering Regiment, KP Volunteers today paid rich tributes to the brave son of soil at Kaul Memorial, Muthi near TCP, Akhnoor Highway,. The brave Lieutenant embraced martyrdom on 27th October, 1998 at a very youthful age of 24 for Maa Bharti, while serving in the Kargil sector during operation Vijay.
The martyred soldier is survived by his old age parents and a younger brother. On the occasion juices were served to children at blind school and to the public in the vicinity.
Balidaan Diwas of Lieutenant Amit Koul organised by Vikram Koul, founder of KP Volunteers, was attended by Kuldeep Raina Ji, chairman, Samajik Vikas Sangathan, Avtar Krishan Bhat, president Ashram Swami Nandbab Sahib, S.K Koul, cousin of Martyred Lieutenant. B.L Koul father of Martyr Lieutenant, Amit Koul was honoured by KP Volunteers.
Among the KPV who attended were Ashok Bhat, Sudesh Koul, Deepak Koul, Ashok Raina, Ramesh Koul, Roshan Lal Pandita and Sanjay Jalali. On the occasion Lieutenant Amit Koul Amar Rahe slogans were raised. The event concluded with recitation of National Anthem.
