Four injured in road accidents

SAMBA, Oct 30: Four people received injuries, three of them critical, in two separate road accidents in Samba district.
According to a police official, a Swift car bearing registration number PB0AW-6370 being driven in a rash and negligent manner by an unknown driver towards Punjab side from Samba, hit a motorcycle (bearing registration number JK02BW-2342 when reached at Palli Morh at Jammu-Pathankot National Highway.
“In the mishap, three persons travelling on the motorcycle got critical injuries. They were immediately taken to District Hospital Samba, where doctors after giving them first aid referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for further treatment,” he added.
The official said that the injured were identified as Mani Ram son of Shiv Ram of village Diani, Naveen Singh son of Devinder Singh of Arnia and his brother Sandeep Singh. The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter and started investigation, he added.
Meanwhile, a road accident also occurred at Glarh Morh in border area of Samba, where a speeding Swift car hit a bike and injured its rider namely Ravi Kumar (36) son of Rattan Chand. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Samba for treatment while the concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter.
