JAMMU, Oct 31: A scooty-borne youth was killed today after his two-wheeler was hit by a speeding truck at Railway Crossing, Sainik Colony in city outskirts.
The deceased was identified as Parampal Singh (40) son of Babu Singh of Tral Pulwama, a police official said, adding the deceased was presently living at Nowabad (Sunjwan).
“The mishap occurred this evening when a truck hit the scooty he was riding. In the mishap, Parampal received serious injuries and was immediately rushed to GMC Jammu for medical treatment but doctors there declared him as brought dead,” the official said.
He said the body was sent for postmortem while a case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and further investigation started.
