SAMBA, Nov 7: In continuation to its drive against illegal mining and illegal transportation of construction material, Samba police today seized six vehicles including five dumpers and a tractor across the district, which were being used for illegal transportation of the construction material.
As per reports a police teams of Police Post, Supwal intercepted two dumpers bearing Registration Number JK02AG-0788 and JK02CB-4363 respectively at Badheri for illegal transportation of sand taken for construction purposes.
Police team of PP Rakh Amb-Talli while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Pangdour, intercepted a Dumper bearing Registration Number JK21E-0234 which was also transporting sand illegally while police team of PS Vijaypur seized a Dumper bearing Registration Number JK0CD-2649 at naka Rakh Barotian, Vijaypur for illegal transportation sand.
In the jurisdictional area of PP Mansar, a Dumper bearing Registration Number JK21G-0372 was intercepted at naka Mansar for illegal transportation of sand. Similarly in the jurisdictional area of PP Utterbehni, a Tractor without Registration Number was intercepted for illegal mining of sand) at riverbed near Sarmal.
All the six vehicles intercepted by Samba police were seized on spot and cases entrusted to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
