SAMBA, Nov 8: The people of village Sumb and its adjoining areas staged a strong protest demonstration against the Government and demanded start of the work of blacktopping of Sumb road immediately.
A large number of people of village Sumb and its adjoining villages led by Mohammed Sharief Panch of Ward No 9 Duniya Panchayat Blater gathered at Main Chowk Sumb Samba and launched the protest. They raised slogans against the Government for their failure in constructing the road.
They alleged that for last three years the Sumb road is totally in shambles and the people of the area are facing lot of trouble due to bad condition of road. There are big pits and potholes on this road every where due to which many accidents have taken place on this road during last some years. The situation is so grave that the drivers are not ready to run their vehicles on this road.
They demanded immediate start of the work of black topping on this road. If their demand was not fulfilled soon, then they will totally boycott the upcoming DDC elections.
