JAMMU, Nov 15: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC), Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) which is on dharna for last 45 days held a meeting near Lane No 7 in Jagti township under the leadership of its president. Shadi Lal Pandita today in which Government was warned of serious consequences in case it continued silence on the genuine demands of the displaced people leading an exiled life for last 32 years in Jammu and other parts of the country for the only sin that they did not toe the line of separatists and anti India forces in Kashmir during nineties.
Addressing the meeting, Pandita said that the agitation will continue till the genuine demands are settled.
Highlighting the issues of displaced people, he demanded hike in monthly cash relief from Rs 13000 to Rs 25000, Government jobs for those migrant families which have no serving Government employee.
Addressing the meeting, Raj Kumar Tickoo unit president JTC said that unemployment has risen among the displaced Pandits due to which the educated youth are in great desperation. He demanded a package of 20,000 Jobs for migrant youth besides launching of a special drive for migrant youth of camps and non camps in police.
Sunil Koul, Rakesh Ambardar, Shuban Raina, Sager Pandita, Mithan Pandita, Sunil Bhan, S L Kar, Shadi Lal Koul, Rakesh Koul, Omesh Kumar, Charanjeet Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Javaid Ahmad, Abdul Rahman Padroo,Vicky Hakoo, Sanjay Raina, Kuldeep Raina, Ramesh Babloo, C L Koul, Sanjay Sharma, Kiran K Bhat, Raj Kumar Bhat, V K Tickoo, Rakesh Tickoo, Rohit Pandita, Kanwal Kichloo, the other JTC leaders demanded that over aged youth should be given competition and bank loans with out interest. The chairman P L Pandita and advisory members of organzation Kamal Pandita, Vinod Moza, Kashi Nath Bhat, M L Razdan, Ravinder Pandita, Vijay Bakshi, A K Kachroo, Ravinder Koul Sahib, Mohmmed Khan demanded the balance ex-gratia of gutted houses and compensation for 32 years property loss be given to each and every landlord.
They also demanded free ration for those pensioners who with the meagre pension are unable to make their both ends meet, besides the safeguarding of migrants left over property, their religious places and temples in Valley, reservation of seats in Parliament and State Assembly and carving out of three Satellite townships in Kashmir in the erstwhile districts of Srinagar, Baramulla and Anantnag for settlement of displaced people.
