JAMMU, Nov 17: The dharna launched by Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) in support of the demands of the displaced Pandits at Jagti township entered the 47 th day today.
While reiterating the demands the protestors accused the Government of treating the displaced people step motherly and ignoring their genuine demands which included their rehabilitation with honour and dignity in Kashmir Valley.
The protestors said that the community is leading an exiled life for last 32 years and how long they have to face this turmoil. They alleged that the Governments at Delhi and J&K have failed to restore their homeland to the displaced people till date and it seems that the present dispensation at Centre is also not interested in rehabilitation of the community in Kashmir.
Addressing the protestors, Shadi Lal Pandita, president, JTC and SKF said the agitation will continue till the uprooted people from Kashmir Valley get justice.
He demanded hike in monthly cash relief from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000, Government jobs to those migrant families where there is no any government employee in the family .Raj Kumar Tickoo unit president Jagti JTC said that unemployment has risen in the community due to which the educated youth are in great desperation. He demanded a special package of 20,000 Jobs for migrant youth and on spot recruitment drive be held in camps and non camps by J&K Police.
Sunil Koul , Rakesh Ambardar ,Shuban Raina ,Sager Pandita ,Mithan Pandita , Sunil Bhan ,S L Kar ,Shadi Lal Koul , Rakesh Koul , Omesh Kumar, Charanjeet Singh ,Gurdeep Singh, Javaid Ahmad , Abdul Rahman Padroo, Vicky Hakoo, Sanjay Raina , Kuldeep Raina ,Ramesh Babloo ,C L Koul , Sanjay Sharma ,Kiran Bhat ,Raj Kumar Bhat ,V K Tickoo, Rakesh Tickoo ,Rohit Pandita ,Kanwal Kichloo demanded interest free loans for over aged displaced youth.
The chairman P L Pandita and advisory members of organzation namely Kamal Ji Pandita, Vinod Moza, Kashi Nath Bhat, M L Razdan ,Ravinder Pandita , Vijay Bakshi ,A K Kachroo, Ravinder Koul, Gh Mohmad Khan demanded balance ex-gratia of gutted houses.
