JAMMU, Nov 18: Gharota Police rescued a kidnapped lady from Mandi area of Himachal Pradesh and arrested the abductor.
As per police sources, on 12 October this year, a missing report of a lady was entered into the daily dairy of Police Station Gharota, which later turned into a kidnapping case registered under FIR Number 84/2020 under Section 366 IPC.
After registration of the case, hunt was launched to rescue the kidnapped lady and arrest the abductor.
Special teams were constituted and by connection various leads, a team from Gharota Police Station led by SHO Inspector Mahesh Sharma under the supervision of ADPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma conducted searches in various places and finally rescued the lady from Mandi area of Himachal Pradesh.
The abductor identified as Bunty Kumar, son of Thoru Ram of Kalri, Tehsil Bhalwal District Jammu was also arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
