SRINAGAR, Nov 20: The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) today asked the schools to regulate their online classes and keep them confined to the school timing.
In a circular issued here, the Directorate stated that it has come to the notice of the authorities that the students are being over-burdened with long duration online classes which are affecting the students.
“…this office is still receiving feedback from the parents as well as other stakeholders, especially through print media that the private schools are overburdening students with long duration of online classes and that too early in the morning and parents are complaining thereof,” read a circular issued here.
“It is impressed upon all the private schools to adhere to the following instructions in letter and spirit,” the circular said.
“The online classes shall start from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (school timing). Duration of each class should not exceed 30 minutes. The time table of weekly online classes should be notified well in advance,” it stated.
