JAMMU, May 1: Police today seized 10 domestic LPG cylinders and 300 liters kerosene oil from a Maruti Van which were allegedly being taken by Bobby Caterers to Hotel Ashoka from Chenab Gas Agency, Panjtirthi for commercial use.
Pacca Danga police station teams arrested Naresh Kumar alias Bitta son of Ram Rakha, an employee of Chenab Gas Agency and Sarabjit Singh son of Baldev Singh R/o Sarwal Colony, driver of Maruti Van No. 9782 JKS in which the domestic LPG cylinders and 300 liters kerosene oil were being smuggled.
Police said Sunil Kadyal alias Bobby, a resident of Shopping Centre, Bakshi Nagar, who owned Bobby Caterers and Sunny Kumar of Bhatindi Morh, a Manager of Chenab Gas Agency were absconding. A hunt has been launched to nab them.
A case against the accused has been registered at Pacca Danga police station.
A Pacca Danga police station team headed by SHO Inspector Vijay Choudhary made the arrests and recoveries under the supervision of SDPO City Kulbir Honda.
