JAMMU, Nov 22: A delegation of BJP ST Morcha (Gujjar & Bakerwall) led by prominent Gujjar leader and Ex MP, Ch. Talib Hussain and ST Morcha State president, Ch. Haroon called on Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan here demanding implementation of Forest Right Act 2006, issue of Seasonal Teachers, setting up of Tribal University in Jammu Kashmir and other issues.
The delegation demanded inquiry in the misuse of Tribal Funds in previous years and release of scholarship as soon as possible. Deputation also demanded that FRA-2006 implementation process is started and be completed within stipulated time and salary of seasonal teachers be increased and tenure from four months to 12 months in a year.
The LG, Manoj Sinha assured the delegation that the demands will be considered on Priority basic.
Choudhary Mushtaq Inqulabi vice-president, BJP ST Morcha, Choudhary Roshan Hussain general secretary, BJP ST Morcha, Ch Mohd. Shafi secretary, BJP ST Morcha and Mohd Riaz secretary BJP ST Morcha were also present on the occasion.
