KATHUA, Nov 27: Lakhanpur police raided a stone crusher running illegally during the night and sealed it. The police said that acting on information from reliable source that a stone crusher was being run illegally in Hatli area of Kathua, a special police team headed by SHO, PS Lakhanpur, Sanjeev Chib in presence of Magistrate Kathua, along with a team of Geology & Mining Department raided the Guru Nanak Stone Crusher site at Rakh Jalphar Hatli , near here and asked the owner of the crusher to produce the documents of permission which he failed to produce before the joint team. The team sealed the crusher on spot, police added.
A JCB was also put on job for illegal mining being carried out in the Magar Khadd allegedly by the crusher owner .The JCB was handed over to the Mining Department for further legal action. The Department is investigating the matter.
