The earthquake that hit Doda district caused extensive damage and even claimed one precious life. As per reports Bhaderwah region is the most affected one.
In this hour of crisis, the need of the hour is to provide relief on war footing basis to the affected families. Though measures in this direction have been initiated, they should be properly monitored so that no one remains unattended.
The damage caused to hospitals, and schools should be assessed and reconstruction and repairs which are necessary should be undertaken on priority basis. These measure will restore confidence among the fear stricken people so that they can start their life a new.
The NGOs should also press themselves into this humanitarian service at this critical hour.
