KATHUA, Nov 28: Asserting that people of J&K will defeat the divisive and wrong policies of BJP Govt in present DDC elections, former Minister and senior Congress leader Raman Bhalla today appealed people to ensure defeat of deceptive policies of BJP.
He was addressing a public gathering at Nagari in favour of Congress candidate Veena Devi.
Bhalla expressed confidence that people of Kathua will vote in large numbers against those who have badly failed to address their genuine and basic issues for the last six years and who were hell bent upon to divide people for electoral gains. He said that people have realized how much damage has been caused to Jammu and Kashmir in every respect by BJP to serve their vested interests. “Time has come to respond to their opportunist and divisive policies by ensuring their defeat in the elections as that will ensure peace and development in the State,” he said and appealed people of entire J&K to cast their vote in favour of Congress Party in large numbers to ensure that communal, divisive and opportunist forces were defeated .
Bhalla said that Congress Party has always taken care of urges and aspirations of the people in all the three regions and is fully committed to ensure equitable development of J&K. He said that many project started by the previous Congress Government have come to standstill and are waiting to meet their finish dates due to callous and non-serious attitude of BJP Government. He appealed people to reject BJP and strengthen Congress for peace and prosperity in J&K.
The Congress leader cautioned against attempts of trampling the inclusive spirit of Jammu, saying the people won’t spare those trying to break their time tested unity. “By exploiting sentiments of innocent Dogras for decades, the BJP stands exposed for the self-centric approach of its leaders, whose greed has superimposed public interest in every arena,” he said.
