POONCH, May 3: Mughal Road which remained closed for several months after snow fall during winters was thrown opened to traffic today.
Dy Commissioner Poonch Sajjad Ahmed Khan said that as per Executive Engineer, R&B Mughal Road, Abdul Ghani, the snow from Peer Ki Gali and Chhata Pani besides areas on north side of Peer pass has been cleared. He said the road was slippery at certain points on the pass but it has now been opened to light motor vehicles. The road was narrow at many points and heavy traffic will be allowed after few weeks, Mr Khan added.
