REASI, Nov 29: In a tragic incident, a 4- year old pillion rider was crushed to death after he fell from the bike and run over by a Tipper coming from the opposite direction.
The deceased, namely Amit Kumar (around 4 years), son of Rajinder Kumar of Sungal, tehsil Pouni, reportedly died on the spot.
The incident took place when the motorcycle rider, identified as Sunil Kumar, son of Prabhdyal suddenly applied brakes with the result the pillion rider child fell on road and the tipper coming from opposite direction ran over the victim.
The tipper, bearing registration number JK02AX- 8781 and bring driven by Ajay Kumar, son of Charan Dass of Khair Lair, Pouni, was on way from Sungal towards Pouni.
Police had registered the case in this regard and started investigation. Driver of the truck has been arrested.
