Camp School Jagti yet to be registered with BOSE

JAMMU, May 3: Established in 2011 the Camp School Jagti is not still registered with Board of School Education (BOSE) due to callousness of the education authorities.
The failure of the Education Department to get the school registered with the BOSE is posing problems to displaced students and the camp inmates are up in arms against the department.
The school is still functioning on the name of Camp School Mishriwala and not as Camp School Jagti. Despite the number of deputations from the camp meeting various officers of the department including the Ministers, the authorities are deliberately prolonging the issue, said Ajay Bhat representative of relief holders and overaged migrant youth Jagti.
He said there is a brewing resentment among the camp people against the delaying tactics adopted by the Government and camp inmates are now left with no alternative but to come on streets in protest.
He said the school also faces shortage of teaching staff, class fourth staff as well as other infrastructure and the authorities pay no attention to remove these problems.
Admitting that the school is not registered with the BOSE, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita said that his organization had taken up the issue with previous Director School Education last year number of times. The issue was also taken up with new Director of School Education and we are hopeful that the issue will be sorted out by the department soon.
